By educators, for educators

Lessons that work for your whole roster

Differentiating by hand means building the same lesson five ways. LingoLift does it for you — with comprehension and language activities tagged to each student’s level and grade — so the kid who can’t decode yet still follows the whole story. Same lesson, no late nights.

With accessible audio and video content, read-along transcripts on every lesson, adjustable pacing, and leveled questions, every learner is met where they are.

The best part? Students love it.

Built for literacy, not just reading

LingoLift is the next chapter of Listenwise, the listening comprehension tool teachers have trusted for years. Now it supports all four literacy skills — with listening as the key that opens the door.

Listening

Audio and video featuring real voices and real stories students actually want to finish, with playback they can slow down and replay.

  • Expose students to natural language, real world topics, and conversations that standard curriculum products lack.
  • Engage learners with interactive listening activities like the Bubble Game, reading quizzes, and video quizzes so they keep coming back for more.
  • A struggling reader can rewind the hard part and slow it down until it clicks — synchronized transcripts and adjustable speed, no hand-raising required.
  • Audio equalizes access to complex, academic content for all students.

Reading

The same audio or video story, but presented in text and leveled appropriately for each reader, while surfacing in-context academic vocabulary.

  • Students listen while they read along, improving awareness of how sounds and letters go together — a critical building block to reading comprehension.
  • Synchronized text and audio reduces decoding load so a student who can’t yet decode still follows the meaning.
  • Build new social and academic vocabulary in context of relevant, real world content.
  • High quality interactive reading activities and quizzes.

Writing

Real writing practice with feedback that actually helps — not “write a paragraph” into the void.

  • Pre-prepared, long-form prompts that encourage critical thinking and self-expression.
  • A built-in, AI writing assessor aligned to language frameworks (including WIDA and ELPAC) that highlights strengths, flags areas to improve, and gives actionable feedback.
  • Open-ended questions designed for varying literacy and proficiency levels.

Speaking

Low-stakes speaking practice that builds vocabulary and confidence before students have to speak to the class.

  • Interactive speaking activities for all students, including English learners, to grow comfortable using academic English.
  • Built-in feedback that checks pronunciation in real time — so practice builds genuinely stronger, more confident speakers.
  • High-interest stories easily spark active dialogue, discussion, and debate — even for reluctant speakers.

Educators in every subject love LingoLift

The strongest sign a tool belongs in your school: it’s already being used three doors down.

Hear from real teachers who have used us, formerly Listenwise, for years.

USE CASES

No two learners are identical. But your curriculum can still reach all of them.

LingoLift is built for the reality of the classroom: a student two grades behind, a student who arrived last month, a student who’s right on track, all sitting beside each other.

For four-skill, core literacy development

Run it whole-class, as a small-group rotation, or as a station kids work through on their own — on stories they’ll bring up again at lunch.

And unlike tools that stop at reading and writing, LingoLift builds listening and speaking too, so students grow across all four skills.

For Multilinguals and English language learners

Hundreds of newcomer lessons (survival English to intermediate), instructions in 15+ native languages, and content you can align to your own MLL/ELL/ESL framework — WIDA, ELP, or your state’s. Built to help newcomers and emerging multilingual learners build confidence and work toward reclassification.

For students with learning differences

WCAG 2.2 compliant, screen-reader friendly, with read-along transcripts and captions on all content. Multimodal lessons and adjustable pacing let students with diverse needs access the material and build background knowledge. Loved by classroom teachers and Speech-Language Pathologists alike.
